Find out more about the David Coulthard Museum

The David Coulthard Museum has without doubt the world's most complete collection of memorabilia for any F1 driver, past or present. Started by David's father Duncan, almost every trophy, DC has ever won is on display.

DC'c father must have had a good idea that he was going to the very top of the motor racing world, because from DC's very earliest karting days, Duncan collected the plastic karting trophies, qualifying sheets, helmets, and anything that may be of interest in the future. Duncan's private collection was kept in a former sugar store.

The collection was not even known to some of the villagers. Over the years Duncan has taken great pleasure in giving his business colleagues, fans and visitors a guided tour of the hundreds of pieces of unique racing history.

In 1999 the museum was open to the public, with Lynsay, DC's sister, running the fan club from a room in the back of building.

In 2000, after several months of refurbishment, the museum reopened as the David Coulthard Museum and Pit Stop Diner. Monica Coulthard then ran the Diner and Lynsay the museum and merchandising.

In 2009 DCM Management and Operations were taken on by long time employee and Tywnholm village resident Mrs Linda White. At the same time the museum went through a small refurbishment to make way for loads of new exhibits including the original Red Bull RB2 Racing car which David drove in the Monaco Grand Prix and scored Red Bull's maiden podium.

If it's been a while since you visited DCM then we think you'll be pleasantly suprised - loads of new things to see and do, informative museum tours, great home made cooking & snacks and of course a friendly welcome.
