David announces retirement from F1.

The words that every David Coulthard fan didn't want to hear:

"I would like to announce today my decision to retire from racing in Formula 1 at the end of this season...."

After 15 years racing in Formula One David has decided it's the right time to hang up his famous saltire helmet and move onto the next chapter of his life. At present that chapter will be a consultant for Red Bull Racing focusing on testing and development but David has indicated that "I have the desire to look for new challenges within the sport.............". We'll watch this space with interest then.
