George the bear visits the museum
Sunday 30 th March 2008

Let us introduce George the bear.

George the bear 1George is an enthusiastic teddy that travels everywhere with his companions, Colin and Diane. He likes to get involved with just about everything and anything he encounters on his travels. He particularly likes anything to do with motorsport but his all time love is Formula 1 that’s why he decided it was time to visit the David Coulthard museum. Of course George being George couldn't just come along and have a look. He had to get right into it and was happy to help out the team and take his orders from Wendy the Museum Manager.

Here's how George's day went:

George attaches and calibrates the steering wheel on the McLaren MP4-13. After quick double check, a bit of a polish and a lap round Twynholm , he's ready for the next task.

Some mucky pup has left their finger prints all over the Williams Formula One car. George gets it all cleaned and even has time to check himself in the miror.

George thinks Wendy's threw him a curved ball when she asks him to "check the oil level". After a couple of hours of frantic searching George discovers that the engine has actually been removed. Very funny Wendy!

George adjusts the tension of the elastic bands on David's Formula 3 car. (This is actually what presently holds the nose cone on. There is a very interesting reason why - Make sure to ask about it when you visit the museum for the full story).

A quick forty winks when Wendy's not looking!

Meanwhile back at The Star it's time for a sharp exit as Dougie's about to give his race review and what SHOULD have happened. Yikes!

So that was George's big day. Make sure and check the news pages often to catch up with George's next big adventure.
