The David Coulthard Museum staying open in 2009
Thursday 26th March 2009
Awesome news for David Coulthard fans is that, following feedback and numerous requests, the Museum and Pitstop Diner in Twynholm will be open for business during the 2009 Formula One Season.
David had always indicated that he wanted the Museum to be available to his fans and indeed his father Duncan has been making DC's exhibits and memorablilia available to view, on request, since January for all the fans that have made the visit to Twynholm.
Talking about the Museum and Diner David's younger sister Lynsay said: “Since David’s been on the telly, visitor numbers have shot up again this year. He’s getting more interest now than when he spun off in his last race in Brazil.”
As normal the Coulthard family will be giving a large portion of the museum profits to his old primary school in Twynholm and Lynsay added: “It’s to give the kids a wee treat.”
Both the Museum and Diner are now open seven days a week with the Diner's popular Grand Prix Brunches also available for Formula One fans to watch the race and have a bite to eat at the same time.
